Working with Climate to Build Community

Candelilla is a study in bringing density to a growing town on the Baja peninsula of Mexico, working with native materials and traditional ways of making to provide housing driven as much by sun, wind, and views and it is by fostering strong community connections. With a variety of shared and private indoor-outdoor experiences designed in collaboration with Campbell Landscape Architecture, the 28 units maximize use of outdoor rooms to extend the living space for each inhabitant.

Construction is targeted to begin in 2025.
